CodeRaider ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website codeasehg.web.app. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the app, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the raid-sync feature:

Raider name — the display name you enter before joining a session. Stored locally in your browser and synced to your active session in Firebase.
Room code — a session identifier used to group players together. Not linked to your identity.
Steam ID — if you choose to sign in via Steam, your Steam64 ID is retrieved through Steam OpenID and stored in your browser's local storage. Sign-in is optional and only required for the "Test Your Code" feature.
BattleMetrics target data — if you add player targets, the app queries the BattleMetrics API for online status using a BattleMetrics profile URL you provide. No personal data beyond the URL is stored by us.

How We Use Your Information

To sync code-cracking progress between raid members in real time.
To display your raider name and status to other members of the same session.
To check whether tracked targets are currently online in Rust (via BattleMetrics).

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party beyond the services listed below that are necessary to operate the app.

Third-Party Services

CodeRaider uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Firebase (Google) — real-time database used to sync session state. Data is stored on Google's servers. Firebase Privacy

Data Retention

Session data in Firebase (raider name, codes tried, progress) is temporary and tied to an active session. We do not maintain long-term user profiles or logs. Data stored in your browser's local storage (raider name, Steam ID) remains until you clear it or sign out.

Cookies

CodeRaider does not use cookies. The app uses browser local storage only for session preferences.

Children's Privacy

CodeRaider is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your Rights

You can clear your local data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage. If you have questions about data we may hold, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
